Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a Design and Technology Teacher to join a welcoming team from September (potentially sooner). The role would be on a full time basis initially providing maternity cover, following a successful assignment the role may be extended for the right candidate. The school are able to consider all disciplines however Resistant Materials or Product Design with some experience of Food Technology would be an advantage.
The school is graded as 'Good' with 'Outstanding' elements in their most recent Ofsted. The school is participatory praised for it's Leadership, Outcomes and Sixth Form. Although there is a Sixth Form attached to the school, the successful Technology Teacher will predominantly be expected to teach engaging lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils. Students enjoy the school and behave well, being courteous and polite throughout the grounds. Attainment levels are good, the proportion of students gaining high grades in five or more subjects is above the national average.
The successful Technology Teacher will be:
A DT Teacher who has a genuine passion for their subject and can inspire their pupils.
A creative Technology teacher, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
A holder of the DT Health and Safety Certificate.
Someone who is up to date on the DT Curriculum and can confidently teach up to KS4.
Able to make effective assessments to plan for the next step in the pupils' development.
A reliable professional and an excellent communicator who can build relationships with all pupils.
The school is located in a beautiful area in West Essex. There is plenty of on site parking available as well as a nearby train station, making it an easy commute from the majority of Essex and parts of East London.

Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable and professional reference checks.
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history, where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
