Tradewind are currently recruiting for a large school in Scunthorpe who require tutors/intervention teachers to work with students in English and Maths. You will be working with students who are on grade boundaries, usually between grade 3/4 and grade 4/5. We are looking for practitioners who are available on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays, to start after February half term (24th February) and who are willing to work full days until after the exam period (June 6th). You will be paid £26.00 per hour for this position, and we are ideally looking for English and Maths specialists. You will be working primarily one to one with students, helping them to improve their subject knowledge, but you may be required to teach groups of up to 5 students at a time (depending on your levels of experience). You will be booked at least four hours per day. While primarily you will be working with Key Stage 4 students (students in years 10 and 11), you may be required to work with students in Key Stage 3 who require additional support with their English and Maths. This may also include working with SEN students of various needs. We would be extremely interested to hear from practitioners who have experience working with SEN students, in mainstream schools or in SEN schools.
This position would suit the following:
*Graduates/undergraduates looking to get into teaching
*Experienced cover supervisors/tutors
*Teaching assistants with strong subject knowledge in English and Maths
The School in question is a large academy in the heart of Scunthorpe with an excellent reputation in the local area. Typical working hours at the school are between 8:30 and 3:00PM, but some days the need to work a bit later, until 4:00PM may be required. With it being such a pivotal time of the year, it is vital that the school has a stable, excellent teacher who can provide the students with much needed stability and support, especially for the Key Stage 4 students. We are looking for an excellent behaviour manager, who has the ability to motivate and inspire students who are disengaged. The school has a large onsite carpark for students who drive, but is on a regular bus route for practitioners who rely on public transport.
