We are recruiting! We are working with a small independent school in Scunthorpe who are looking for a Maths/Science tutor.
Tradewind are currently working with an excellent and truly unique independent faith school in Scunthorpe who are searching for a Maths and Science tutor to work 2 days per week. This work alternates on a two week basis, with Week A's timetable being a Monday/Tuesday, and week B's timetable being a Monday/Friday. During this time, you will be supervising teachers who are working in their independent learning zones, providing support for students in many subject areas, but mainly in Maths and Science. The key skills needed for this role are strong behaviour management and motivational skills, as you will be assisting year 11's with their studies before their GCSE exams.
The position is ideal for any teacher, cover supervisor or teaching assistant, who has the ability to form positive rapports with the students and really stretch and motivate them. The school is a truly unique environment, and it has a huge focus on self-directed learning, meaning that student behaviour and motivation is extremely high. With the focus on study skills, collaboration and motivation, this is a unique and refreshing setting, perfect for someone looking for their next position. Use of technology in the classroom is also highly favoured, and practitioners who are successful in this role will have the opportunity to really explore their pedagogy.
We are looking for:
*A teacher, teaching assistant, sports coach or cover supervisor

*A headstrong practitioner who can follow behaviour management policies
The school is incredibly accessible, being just across the road from a bus stop, and it has a large amount of free on-site parking. Within walking distance of many other schools and public places, it is in a vibrant section of the city of Scunthorpe.
The school really appreciate continuity for their students, meaning if you excel in this position, you will likely be used as a first port of call for any other positions of the like that come up at the school.
