Year 1 Specialist - ASC TA

Are you experienced with the KS1 curriculum and have a nurturing presence? Do you have experience of supporting those with Autism, or perhaps are an English graduate skilled in spelling, punctuation and grammar? If any of these are applicable, Tradewind would love to speak to you!

Tradewind are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child diagnosed with Autism in a mainstream Primary school. This is a really exciting opportunity, as not only will you be working with a fantastic school but you would also be central to the development and growth of a child.

This opportunity is available to start after Easter, and is full-time and long-term in Stockport. A daily salary of up to £90 per day.

If you are:

  • Familiar with the KS1 curriculum, including phonics
  • SEND experience, particularly Autism
  • A practitioner who is committed to promoting inclusion by providing differentiated work to challenge students of all abilities, INCLUDING those with ADHD and ASC

To be successful in the role of SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • A caring and nurturing attitude
  • Have a thorough understanding of supporting pupils with SEND
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
