On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are looking to recruit a teacher to make a strong impact in Year 1 in a highly reputable school in Tameside. This is an intervention teacher role which will commence May 2021 and run until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be experienced in Year 1 and have proven success accelerating pupil progress to exceed academic targets. The school are looking for an individual who is driven, committed to the duration of the placement and is an effective team player.
About the School
This is a two form entry school which has a great reputation as a result of the warm school ethos and positive educational outcomes. With a 'Good' rated Ofsted inspection, the school are now looking to expand and build on prior successes.
About the Role
The successful candidate will become the third Year 1 teacher and work alongside the other two Year 1 teachers with planning, preparation and assessment. You will oversee small groups of children who are currently not meeting age-related expectations and plan targeted interventions to address missed curriculum content and bridge gaps in learning.
Being an effective team player will be crucial to your success as you will be expected to liaise with the other teachers providing regular feedback on learning outcomes and pupil progress for individual children.
The successful candidate will:
-Carefully plan and deliver lessons across the core subjects to bridge learning gaps and work towards achieving age-related expectations
-Utilise a range of teaching and learning strategies to cater for visual, audio and kinesthetic preferences
-Use initiative and work well individually as well as in a team communicating effective with colleagues.
-Provide regular feedback on individual pupil progress and analyse this data to inform next steps in learning
-Monitor children's personal, social and emotional wellbeing.

Essential Requirements
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks. Or be happy to undertake a new DBS through us
Have excellent references to support your previous experience in a ___ setting
Have the legal right to work in the UK
