Are you an Outstanding KS1 Teacher? Are you currently in a position of responsibility or potentially looking for your next step? An experienced, enthusiastic Year 1 teacher is required for a 3-form entry Primary School, based in Brent. Year Group Leader In addition to the responsibilities set out in the school teachers' pay and conditions document you will also undertake the following duties and responsibilities.
Responsible to: Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Assistant Headteachers Responsible for:
To lead an assigned year group to achieve high quality teaching, effective use of resources and the highest standards of learning and achievement for all pupils through a creative and rigorous curriculum.
To take an active and positive role in the development of curriculum attainment and progress within the school as a member of the leadership team.
To promote the wellbeing of staff and pupils in the school with particular reference to year group team.
Lead and co-ordinate the work of the assigned year group, ensuring all statutory and school assessments are undertaken and to be accountable for standards with the year group.

To be suitable for this role you will:
You will be a committed teacher, looking for a middle management post and with recent KS1 experience.
You will be expected to create a safe, secure and stable environment for the children so their learning can move forward in a progressive manner.
You will be experienced in delivering the Key Stage 1 curriculum, ideally with recent experience of teaching Year 1 and will be joining a happy, well supported staffing team.
*Be a qualified primary teacher with QTS
*Have up to date National Curriculum subject knowledge and Key Stage 1/SATs preparation experience
*Be enthusiastic, professional and approachable and happy to fulfil your professional commitments in terms of marking work, assessing pupils' progress and planning.
*Be able to support the school learning policies and become an active member of the teaching team, and having a full role in school life.
