About the role
This OFSTED 'Good' centrally located Manchester primary school are seeking a Year 1 teacher with the experience and drive to take on a Year 1 and set them up for a successful Year 2 SATS year in 2022. Due to a large in-take 2 years ago, the head teacher has decided to split next year's cohort of Year 1 children and create 3 Year 1 classes of 18 children. The school are looking for someone who can deliver lessons across the National Curriculum and has excellent behaviour management and sound subject knowledge. You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will have a full time Teaching Assistant and will also share a floating higher Level Teaching Assistant whose main responsibility will be to cover PPA and support interventions.

Your key responsibilities
*Teaching a Year 1 class
*Teaching all core and foundation primary subjects.
*Ensuring that all children make the minimum expected progress throughout the year
*Creatively linking subjects together to plan thematically
*Planning for, directing and working with a teaching assistant
