This is a great infant school located in Barnet, North London.
They were graded as "outstanding" by Ofsted and are oversubscribed, which reflects their position in the local community. The school has a traditional feel about it, but with excellent resources. With good public transport links, they also have staff parking.
The school is three form entry, with a long-established leadership team, who continually strive to further improve already high standards and ensure that all pupils can access the curriculum. The school also benefits from great support from homer, with parents wanting to be involved in school life. The school is three form entry, with each year group working closely as a team.
The school is seeking a teacher with a minimum of 1 year's experience as they, unfortunately, do not have the staff capacity to mentor an NQT next year. Salary on offer is £145 - £160 per day, depending on experience. The role is to cover a maternity leaver and will continue until June 2021, but there may be an option to extend, including for the next academic year.
The class has a range of abilities and also some pupils with mild special educational needs. They have a full-time teaching assistant and also an SEN assistant who works with small groups in the mornings. Behaviour is good and they are a friendly class who are keen to learn.
The role is due to cover a maternity leaver.
You should have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 and have an excellent working knowledge of phonics. There is quite a wide range of ability levels in the class so differentiation is essential and the ability to be able to identify individual needs and areas for development.

*Have full QTS (or equivalent teaching qualifications) and experience in a UK primary classroom
*Have taught in key stage 1, ideally in Year 2.

*Have at least one year of experience of teaching in the UK
