This two-form entry school has a good reputation locally and is over-subscribed. The Headteacher has been in place for a few years and is supported by a dedicated senior leadership team. The school has a firm commitment to seeing all children succeed and they put a lot of work into making this possible.
The Headteacher is seeking an experienced Year 1 teacher to join the team from February, to cover a maternity leaver. Unfortunately, do not have the capacity to take on an NQT for induction year. You will be working closely with the parallel Year 1 class teacher and planning together each week, to share ideas and resources. You will have a teaching assistant working to help with general classroom duties. The class has children with a range of academic abilities and they gel well as a team, with good behaviour.
You should be motivated to inspire children, hard-working and organised and have a creative approach to your teaching. In return, you will be given a very good, organised teaching environment.
Essential requirements to be considered for this role:
*Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
*Have experience teaching in a primary classroom in a mainstream setting and have a good knowledge of the primary curriculum
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
*You must have the legal right to work in the UK
