Tradewind are seeking a dedicated Year 1 teacher with SEND experience for an exciting long-term opportunity in Hyde, Tameside.

On behalf of our wonderful client school, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Year 1 Teacher for a long-term, full-time position commencing after February half-term. The role would suit a KS1 teacher with SEND experience who is passionate about meeting the needs of diverse learners in order to achieve good progress. This role is paid to scale to reflect your career stage and suitability and the school offers a fantastic environment in which to thrive with the potential of permanency from September.

The successful Year 1 Teacher must:

-Have a strong command of the classroom and be able to build a positive rapport with the class built on a foundation of trust and mutual respect

-Be able to plan lessons in line with National Curriculum standards and use adaptive teaching methods to stretch and scaffold learning to meet all learners

-Review EHCPs and plan lessons in accordance with focussed learning targets

-Be a great team player and be able to utilise other classroom staff to best effect

-Use formative and summative techniques to determine progress and address any misconceptions

-Adhere to school policies, systems and structures but make valuable contributions and share best practice.

-Contribute to all areas of school life

If you have direct experience in KS1, and feel like you would excel in this wonderful role, please ensure you meet the criteria below.

Essential Requirements

-QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

-Be subject to an enhanced DBS check

-Provide your two most recent teaching references which evidence your competency in the classroom

-Have proof of right to work in the UK
