The ideal candidate will have some experience of working in this year group and ideally also spent some time in Year 2, but this is not essential! Full support will be given by this lovely school to the successful NQT candidate.

About the School - Year 1 Teacher - NQT - September 2020

This wonderful outstanding primary school in Richmond is led exceptionally well and as a result pupils attain very high standards in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. The school are looking for new teachers with the dedication to grow and progress during this important year and who are willing to take guidance in order to become exceptional, happy and successful teachers. The school has superb facilities and the children and parents are very happy with the education it provides. As an NQT you will have a mentor to support you in your everyday progress and a tutor who will assess and guide your teaching practice. NQTs get an extra half day to complete planning and administration relating to their NQT year.


About the role - Year 1 Teacher - NQT - September 2020

*To plan and deliver exciting and well differentiated lessons across the National Curriculum
*Have a some understanding of the EYFS curriculum and the end of Key Stage SATS
*Collaborate with colleagues to create medium and long term plans
*Keep accurate assessment and carefully monitor progress
*Share progress effectively with pupils, families and SLT
*Identify children that need interventions including those that are Gifted and Talented
*Attend the excellent CPD programs as required
