Year 1 Primary School Teacher

Location: Sheffield

Start Date: September (Full-time)

Contract: Fixed-term until July 2025

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Primary School Teacher to join our vibrant team at [School Name] in Sheffield. This position presents an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 1 (KS1), ideally someone who is looking to complete their induction year as an Early Career Teacher (ECT).

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver engaging lessons to Year 1 students, following the National Curriculum and school policies.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and academic growth.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement effective intervention strategies where necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to support the holistic development of each child.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and staff meetings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working in Key Stage 1 (KS1).
  • Strong understanding of child development, pedagogical approaches, and assessment methods relevant to Year 1.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching practice.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
