1:1 Teaching Assistant - Year 1

Are you passionate about supporting young learners in their educational journey? We are recruiting on behalf of a Primary Academy that is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join the Year 1 team. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic and personal development of a specific student.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a Year 1 student in various subjects.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised learning plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to address the student's specific needs.
  • Monitor and track the student's progress, providing feedback as needed.
  • Encourage independence and confidence in the student's academic pursuits.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of working with children with Autism and challenging behavior
  • Relevant educational background or certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and empathy when working with young learners.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of the student.
