Tradewind are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 practitioner who is either in between roles or looking for a new role in January 2021.
On behalf of our wonderful client school, Tradewind are currently looking to recruit an outstanding Key Stage 1 teacher for a 2-term maternity cover role at a 2 form Primary School in Bury. This role will be in a Year 2 class and will start in January 2021 and continue until the end of the academic year. You will be paid a competitive salary for this role which will match your level of experience.
As one of the schools Year 2 Teachers, you will be working in an impressive primary school in a diverse area within Bury local authority. The schools most recent Ofsted was 'Good' and they pride themselves as a school that continuously strives to achieve above national average results whilst maintaining the children's mental health and wellbeing.
You will be working with a high achieving Year 2 class who have all started the new academic year with a spring in their step. Despite the recent lockdown, virtually all of the class are meeting their current age-related expectations. This class will be a challenge for any teacher who doesn't have the passion to push children to their limits academically. You will also have strong curriculum knowledge and the confidence to deliver this on a daily basis.

As one of the schools Year 2 teachers you will be expected to:
*Undertake full class teaching responsibilities for a Year 2 class
*Thoroughly planning lessons alongside the other Year 2 Teacher, making full use of resources and the experience of the other teachers.
*Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils, as well as their personal and social needs.
*Have full responsibility of supporting the class through a successful SATS year.
*Teaching a balanced curriculum and ensuring that each child fulfils his or her potential by providing high levels of teaching standards.
