The School:
This great school is located in a residential area of North-West London.
They are a Church of England school who welcomes applicants of all beliefs and backgrounds.
The team have developed a creative curriculum and have a fantastic team of creative and inspiring teachers on board. The Headteacher has been at the school for around 5 years and in that time has overseen the school moving from "good" to "outstanding". He cites the team as being key to this, with a focus on developing the children into independent learners as well as a focus on Maths and Literacy. The school has whole-school reading sessions together as well as writing workshops from well-known authors.
There is a wonderful atmosphere throughout the school and behaviour is good.
Salary will be in line with the main pay scale(MPS), outer London, presently £28355 - £40035 pro-rata, depending on experience. There may be a TLR point available for teachers who are willing to take on responsibility for a curriculum area,
The Class:
The class has a range of abilities and also some pupils with various special educational needs. They have a full-time teaching assistant and also an SEN assistant who works with small groups in the mornings. Behaviour is good.
The role is full-time, from September 2020 until July 2021 and there may, of course, be opportunities available after that.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Have full QTS (or equivalent teaching qualifications) and experience in a UK primary classroom
Have taught in key stage 1, ideally in Year 2.
Have a creative approach to teaching to inspire the children
Have a good understanding of the Year 2 curriculum
