Tradewind Manchester are currently looking for an experienced, results driven and hardworking Year 2 teacher for a 1.5-form entry school in Oldham. The role is due to commence in January or as soon as possible. This is a full time, permanent role with a main pay scale (M1-UPS3). The successful applicant will have an opportunity to earn a permanent contract and they open to NQT's and experienced teachers alike.

This school is currently 1.5-form entry and very well established in the local community. They currently hold a 'Good' rating from Ofsted (2014) and the Head is very well respected across the LEA. The school prides itself in offering a rich and engaging curriculum. They offer a well rounder education, offering a wide range of opportunities which both enrich and enhance their experiences in school. Results in the past two years have been below expectations so they need a driven individual to join their KS2 team and gain incremental increases in KS2 results. They are open to someone with leadership experience and have the potential to offer a TLR or a position on the SLT. This is a friendly school and one where everyone is striving to make the necessary strides forward. Extensive plans have been put in place from September to ensure all staff have the necessary resources and support to be the best they can.

About the role:
We are looking for an innovative and inspirational teacher to teach a Year 2 class for the last two terms of this year. The school is 1.5 form entry, as such you will be joining an established team of teachers and teaching assistants who work closely across Key Stage 1. They adopt a team teach process which means that responsibility is shared among the team, leaning to a better work life balance. As a result, Yr2 experience isn't a necessity so this position is open to NQT's as well as experienced teachers. However, those with experience of SAT's and a background of making progress are encouraged to apply. The results across school were low last year and as such the school are doing all they can to ensure suitable progress is made this year. There is plenty of support on hand and lot of incentives and encouragement for the children to ensure engagement is maintained.
As a Classroom Teacher, you will have the support of a cohesive and committed team of teachers and SLT who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations, plus:
