About the School - Year 2 Primary Teacher - Southwark, South East London

Located in Southwark, this school has been serving a diverse local community for a number of years. Over time the community has changed in many ways as, indeed, has the school. For the past ten years they have achieved outcomes consistently above national expectations for all children in their care, with writing outcomes being well above average. They have quite high numbers of EAL and free school meal pupils as is typical of an inner London borough, but have invested the extra finance this has bought to the school wisely, mainly through extra CPD for its teachers and in class support in the form of top graduate teaching assistants. This excellent school was awarded an "Outstanding", which was just reward for the efforts all staff and students have put in to making the school a success.This school aims for their children to have the capacity and the desire to be future leaders: of the community, of the country and of the world.
