Tradewind are seeking to recruit a talented Year 3 Teacher who will join an established team and build on prior success as an outstanding school. This will be a fixed term contract beginning October 2020 and running until the end of the academic year. NQTs are welcome to apply as well as teachers with experience who are able to take on areas of responsibility.


About the School
The school is a highly successful two-form entry primary school in Stockport catering for children between the ages of three and eleven. The school provides children with meaningful opportunities and experiences to become global citizens who have a desire to learn. The school supports a shared vision to equip children to be internationally minded and possess the essential skills they need to be successful and engaged in all their learning throughout their educational careers and within their future vocations.


About the role:
The successful candidate will be working in a class of approximately 30 pupils. The class is mixed ability with some children working well below age related expectations and others working in greater depth. As a result, the ability to differentiate lessons to scaffold and stretch pupils accordingly will be key to succeeding in this role. You will also be joined by a full time LSA who is experienced and very familiar with the Year 3 curriculum.

As the Y3 class teacher, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

-Building a positive rapport with all children in your care and understanding their needs as individual children
-Plan detailed lessons that are meaningful and reflect real life situations supporting international mindedness
-Differentiate learning to support all children to reach their potential whether that be scaffolding content or stretching learners to a mastery level
-Review, reflect and report on data adjusting medium term plans where necessary to bridge gaps and raise educational outcomes
-Create targeted interventions, monitor pupil progress and evaluate their effectiveness making adjustments where necessary
-Share ideas, ask questions and liaise with other professionals to poach strategies and enhance classroom practice
-Adhere to all school policies and positively contribute to wider school life.

To be considered for this role, you must:

-Have QTS status (or an equivalent)
-Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure (Or be happy to undertake a new DBS through us) Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
-Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
-Have the legal right to work in the UK
