Year 3 Primary Teacher - Stockport
On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are looking to appoint a Year 3 Class Teacher for a maternity cover commencing January 2021 and running until the end of the academic year with the possibility of an extension depending on your success in the role.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, creative, driven teacher who works well independently and as part of a team. Applicants will join a committed team of staff who are hard working and very supportive. The school will welcome applications from NQT's.
About the School:
This is a well known school at the very heart of the Stockport community. The school provides a continuous learning journey for children from three to eleven years old and responds to developing and changing needs as pupils transition through the primary phases. As a result of high expectations, children make good progress and achieve well.
The school supports the International Primary Curriculum where learning is based around specific topics. Children are encouraged to ask questions, explore scenarios related to real life develop skills and attitudes such as resilience, adaptability, thoughtfulness and more on a daily basis. This curriculum stimulates curiosity amongst children and has wide-ranging cross curricular opportunities which allow for creative, innovative teaching and learning approaches.
The successful candidate will:
Be an outstanding teacher with the drive and capacity to really thrive in this role as a Year 3 Class Teacher.
Have a thorough up to date knowledge of the range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and how to implement them effectively
Be able to prepare and plan effectively to meet individual needs and requirements
Be able to lead, motivate and inspire students and colleagues
Be resilient, hard-working, solution focused and wholeheartedly committed to transforming student outcomes
Plan targeted interventions to bridge learning gaps across the core subjects
Have a clear understanding of age related expectations for children within the Primary phases
Know how to use local, national and statistics to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching
Commit to the broad extra-curricular programme offered by the school which operates on a rotational basis.

The protection of students' welfare is the responsibility of all staff and individuals are expected to conduct themselves in a way that reflects the school principles. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance along with other relevant pre-employment checks. References will be taken up and carefully checked.
Hold QTS Certification
Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
Have demonstrated success in a primary setting with references to support your previous experience
Have the legal right to work in the UK
