Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an experienced Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly two-form entry Church of England Primary School in Tower Hamlets from November 2020.

This two-form Primary School treats the children and staff with respect and it's a happy school to work in.

This Year 3 Teaching Assistant role is paying long-term rates of between £70 - £80 a day, depending on experience.

This Year 3 class will benefit from a teaching assistant who has recently worked as a general TA in KS2 and some experience of working with children with special educational needs. You'll be joining and assisting a teacher that was initially placed in a long -term role through Tradewind Recruitment. As the successful TA, you will be working alongside an experienced Year 3 teacher, who is supportive and affable. Part of your role, may include taking small groups of children for interventions, it is therefore imperative that you have good spoken and written English.

As the successful Year 3 Teaching Assistant you will:

Assist the teacher and children with their learning
Do interventions in literacy and numeracy
Working with teachers to monitor progress of pupil
General classroom duties

This two- form entry school is Ofsted rated "Good" and is an inclusive and friendly school. The school is well-resourced and has great facilities including a recently refurbished playground with a large climbing frame and a recently introduced "Forest School".

The school is in the inner London borough of Tower Hamlets, there is a car park for all staff. It is in walking distance of the Docklands Light Railway.

Job Requirements

Experience of working in Year 3 or KS2 as a Teaching Assistant
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
You must have the legal right to work in the UK
