This is a full time, long term role covering a maternity leave which is planned to end at the end of the Academic year. However, the school acknowledge there is a very good chance the teacher won't return until Jan 2021. The role will pay up to £170 a day.

We are recruiting for a Year 4/5 Teacher on behalf of a small primary school in Rochdale. The school has a 'good' rating from Ofsted when last inspected in 2017. Results last year were below the national and LEA average, however average scores for reading were above average nationally and locally. The school is friendly and inclusive, very much at the heart of the community. They believe that every day at school should be the very best day a child can have. The school is based in Rochdale, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available.

About the role:
This OFSTED 'good' primary school (2017) are looking for an innovative and inspirational teacher to teach a mixed Yr4/5 class for two terms. We are looking for someone who can think outside the box and has high expectations of themselves and others.

The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Headteacher and wider leadership team to develop outstanding teaching and learning across school ensuring that attainment and achievement opportunities are maximised for our children. This post requires a teacher for a Year 4/5 class. The position is within a team of staff, therefore there will be plenty of support.

The ability to communicate at effectively with children, parents and external agencies and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post. The school has recently taken in several children who have very limited understanding and knowledge of the English language. Some of these children are in the Yr4/5 class.
As a Classroom Teacher, you will have the support of a cohesive and committed team of teachers and SLT who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations, plus:
