Tradewind are looking to appoint a Year 4 Class Teacher for a maternity cover role. This position will commence January 2021 and run until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary between £125-185 per day which will reflect your suitability and experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, creative, driven teacher who works well independently and as part of a team. This is a highly popular 'Good' rated school at the very heart of the Stockport community. The school provides a continuous learning journey for children from three to eleven years old and responds to developing and changing needs as pupils transition through the primary phases. Alongside core subjects, the school delivers the International Primary Curriculum which supports a cross-curricular topic based approach to learning. This curriculum stimulates curiosity amongst children and has wide-ranging opportunities which allow for creative, innovative teaching styles.

The successful candidate will:

- Be an outstanding teacher with the drive and capacity to really thrive in this role as a Year 4 Class Teacher
- Have secure subject knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum and have a strong understanding of the KS2 transitions
- Be able to implement a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and know how to use them effectively to achieve desired outcomes
- Be able to prepare and plan well resourced lessons to meet individual needs and requirements
- Build a positive rapport with all children based on trust and mutual respect and create a class community where pupils take ownership and accountability for their learning
- Be resilient, hard-working, solution focused and wholeheartedly committed to transforming student outcomes
- Plan targeted interventions to bridge learning gaps across the core subjects
- Have a clear understanding of age related expectations and differentiate accordingly to both scaffold and stretch learners
- Analyse data to determine where/what to revisit, reteach and seamlessly integrate this into the termly planning without disrupting the pace/curriculum coverage.
- Commit to the broad extra-curricular programme offered by the school which operates on a rotational basis.

Essential Requirements:

Hold QTS Certification
Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
Have demonstrated success in a primary setting (KS2 desirable) with references to support your previous experience
Have the legal right to work in the UK
