Year 4 Teaching Assistant required at an Oldham Primary School- March 2021 Start

A Primary School in Oldham is currently looking for an experienced and hardworking Year 4 Teaching Assistant for a 2-form entry school in Oldham. This position is due to start after half term when schools re- open and is a full time, permanent contract with a pay rate of up to £75.00 per day. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to earn a permanent contract.

To join us and be successful in this Year 4 Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

  • A level 3 qualification in education
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK

Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of

  • Supporting in a Year 4 class
  • A good knowledge of all core and foundation primary subjects.
  • excellent ability to follow instructions from the class teacher

About the role:

An energetic teaching assistant with a creative and engaging outlook on the curriculum would be well suited to ensure the children remain engaged and active throughout the year. There will be plenty of support from the class teacher. The role itself will involve supporting the class teacher within Year 4, helping with the delivery of the National Curriculum. Under the direction of the class teacher, you will be required to help the students to make progress within Maths, Literacy and Reading. You will also be required to spend some time each day taking focus groups for interventions.
