Tradewind are seeking to employ an outstanding teacher who is creative, imaginative, highly motivated and committed to improving the life chances of children. The successful candidate will be responsible for a mixed year 5 / 6 class with wide-ranging academic abilities. Demonstrated success across these year groups will be crucial to the role combined with a proven positive track record leading children through their SATS exams. The role will commence January 2021 until the end of the academic year with an opportunity to be made permanent depending on your success in the role.

About the role:

As the year 5 / 6 teacher, your responsibilities will include:

Detailed planning and delivery of engaging lessons that have meaning and purpose and align with national curriculum standards
Analysing data to reflect, record and report on the development of pupil progress.
Using assessment effectively to identify the need for intervention whether behavioural or academic and monitor progress making adjustments where necessary
Effective behaviour management strategies whilst maintaining a fantastic rapport with the class
Contributing to school events in the wider community
Liaising effectively with students, staff and parents ensuring that communication is clear, professional and efficient
Incorporating ICT across the curriculum to enhance learning opportunities and keep up-to-date with modern technology
Adhere to all school policies


The ideal candidate will successfully set a vision and targets for pupil success and be confident in using their knowledge and expertise to monitor progress, give regular feedback and encourage the children to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study.
The school is situated in a vibrant area of Stockport with convenient transport links for easy access to surrounding areas of Manchester and also benefits from a large, secure staff car park which is free with spaces available for all members of staff.

Essential Requirements:
-Qualified Teacher Status
-A minimum of 2 years experience across years 5 / 6
- Demonstrated success leading students through SATS exams with references to support
- A right to work in the UK
