Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join the team as a full-time Year 5 teacher at a primary school based in Selly Oak. As a Year 5 teacher, you will play a vital role in guiding the students through an important stage of their education, preparing them academically and emotionally for the challenges ahead. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (ECT) with a passion for inspiring young minds.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum and promote active learning.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure individual growth.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
Communicate and build strong relationships with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student performance and addressing any concerns or queries.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and behaviour.
Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and school events.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 preferred).
A strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
The ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students.
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Dedication to continuous professional development and a commitment to staying updated with educational developments.
