About the School - Year 5 Primary Teacher
Located in Hitchin, Hertfordshire this lovely, traditional 2 form entry Primary School. This school is traditional in that it believes learning should be fun and enjoyable. It encourages its teaching staff to plan and deliver creative lessons that inspire. The school has a child centred approach that attempts to nurture each individual student's talent rather than force all to make academic progress at all costs. This school still achieves excellent results at all key stages, especially from Year 6 SAT's but believes it is the students enjoyment of learning that leads to this. This school has low staff turnover as teachers enjoy being able to plan and develop their own lessons - this role has come about due to an overseas trained teacher returning home.

About the Role - Year 5 Primary Teacher
*This post is suitable to both experienced and newly qualified teachers. This is a supportive school that can offer a great induction programme for NQT's. It can also offer a potential TLR for an experienced Year 5 or Key Stage 2 Teacher.
*As a creative school the successful candidate will need to be happy to plan and develop lessons (schemes of work are in place as are plenty of resources) rather than just follow a set pattern. As with all schools there is a focus on literacy and numeracy with the view of raising levels here at every opportunity.
*As a school with low staff turnover they are keen to find someone who is planning on developing their career in line with the school's progress.
