Job Title: Year 6 Intervention Teacher

Location: Kensington, Liverpool

Contract Type: Full-Time (ASAP until May 2024)

A well-established primary school located in the heart of Kensington, Liverpool, are looking for a KS2 intervention teacher. This school is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students and take pride in their dedicated staff and their unwavering commitment to helping pupils reach their full potential.

Position Overview: Our school are seeking an experienced Year 6 Intervention Teacher to join their team as soon as possible until May 2024. The primary focus of this role is to provide targeted support and assistance to Year 6 students, with an emphasis on preparing them for their KS2 SATs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping students achieve academic success and build their confidence as they approach this important stage in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-on-one and small group intervention sessions with Year 6 students.
  • Create tailored learning plans to address individual learning needs and boost their academic performance.
  • Implement a variety of teaching strategies and resources to enhance student engagement.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress regularly, providing feedback to both students and parents.
  • Collaborate with the Year 6 teaching team to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Proven experience working with Year 6 students, including preparation for KS2 SATs.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment criteria.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and parents.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Organisational skills to plan and execute effective interventions.
