Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) looking to start your teaching career this September 2019? Are you fully trained to be a Primary Teacher in Edgbaston.

We're seeking a full time Primary Teacher who has graduated recently to start in September 2019 on a temp to per basis.

The school are looking for a Year 6 Teacher to work in KS2 at a Ofsted rated "Outstanding" primary school on a full time basis over the next academic year. This position will start on a temporary basis, however once a successful term has been completed you will be offered a permanent contract direct with the school.

The primary school is a successful 3 form entry school that has and outstanding reputation within the community as well as a long history of retaining their staff well. The class size is at an average of 30 pupils to each class with a classroom TA provided to offer support to the class teacher. Parking is offered free of charge at the school as well as offering fantastic transport links for anyone looking to use public transport.


The role

The head teacher is looking to recruit an ambitious and hard working NQT that can offer fresh new ideas to a welcoming and diverse school. Experience having worked with EAL students would be an advantage however this is not essential as full support will be given by specially trained teaching assistants as well as your NQT mentor.

The school is offering the flexibility to learn from their more experienced teachers as well as offering the opportunity to complete your induction year in the first 2 academic years of joining the school. The support provided will include help with completing lesson plans, CPD courses, reporting, attainment and delivering a balanced curriculum.

This delightful school has an excellent reputation within the community due to it achieving amazing results consistently. The school is involved in various community and charity projects, making it a popular choice for parents to send their children.

Essential requirements:

Must have completed a PGCE within primary and be able to demonstrate a knowledge of the UK curriculum. Experience of teaching in a year 6 class or upper KS2 would be preferred however this is not essential as transferrable skills will be recognised.

I positive attitude to working with children of different backgrounds as well as a passion for teaching at a primary age.
