Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Sanza Teaching Agency is currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work one-on-one with a Year 6 student in a welcoming Primary School located in the heart of the London Borough of Camden.
Role Overview:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to a Year 6 student with SEND. This rewarding position offers you the opportunity to make a real difference in a young person's life and help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to a Year 6 student with SEND.
- Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure the student's needs are met.
- Monitor and record the student's progress and behavior.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement to promote confidence and independence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with additional needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- A caring and patient nature with a genuine desire to support and empower students.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of SEND and the ability to adapt support strategies accordingly.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEND would be advantageous but not essential.
