Year 6 Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Education is seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming community primary school located in the vibrant Cheadle area of Stockport. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to students as they navigate their final year of primary school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Year 6 class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help students prepare for upcoming assessments and examinations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the overall success of the Year 6 cohort.


  • Previous experience working in a Year 6 classroom setting is essential.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting the needs of children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications are advantageous.


  • Location: Cheadle, Stockport
  • Contract: Initially until May half-term
  • Pay Rate: £85 to £90 per day
