About the school
This is a fantastic time to join a school on an upward trajectory. The school has recently re-branded and is now part of a national multi academy trust. The school has developed greatly in the past 12-18 months, it is a completely different school to the one it was before. This has been to the benefit of the staff that have stayed but more importantly the children, parents and community it serves. The school strives to be a happy, vibrant and caring learning environment where risk taking, and challenge is encouraged. They have a motto:

'Dare to know. Dare to be wise'

Currently, there are 13 languages spoken in school and this widening diversity is adding richness to the school culturally. They put a high value of the social, emotional, spiritual and cultural aspects of education as well as the academic side. As a result, they offer a lot of alternative provision and encourage children to lean through music, sport, adventure and offer several residential trips. There are fantastic opportunities for CPD as well as numerous career development opportunities within this school and the Trust as a whole.

About the role
We are looking for an innovative and inspirational teacher to teach a Yr2 class for the next academic year. The school is 2 form entry, as such you will be joining an established team of teachers and teaching assistants across the year group. They adopt a team teach process which means that responsibility is shared among the team, leaning to a better work life balance. As a result, Yr2 experience isn't a necessity so this position is open to NQT's as well as experienced teachers. However, those with experience of SAT's and a background of making progress are encouraged to apply. The results across school were low last year and as such the school are doing all they can to ensure suitable progress is made next year. That being said, no one currently knows what the landscape for assessed education will look like after lockdown but the SLT are acutely aware that Yr2 is an important year and as such are operating as normal until told otherwise. There is plenty of support on hand and lot of incentives and encouragement for the children to ensure engagement is maintained.
With so many languages in the school, good communication skills are essential.
As a Classroom Teacher, you will have the support of a cohesive and committed team of teachers and SLT who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations, plus:
· a well-equipped school with interactive white boards and plenty of resources
· the successful Teacher will be provided with a comprehensive induction package and a wide range of CPD opportunities for all staff
