Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced, results driven and hardworking Yr5 teacher for a 2-form entry school in Oldham. The role is due to commence at the start of December and will run through to December 2021. However, the school are willing to consider those who only want to commit until the end of the academic year in July. This is a full time, fixed term role with a main pay scale (M1-UPS3).

About the school
This school is currently 2 form entry and very well established in the local community. They currently hold a 'Good' rating from Ofsted (2017) and the Head is very well respected across the LEA. The school prides itself in offering a rich and engaging curriculum. They offer a well-rounded education, offering a wide range of opportunities which both enrich and enhance their experiences in school. Results in the past two years have been below expectations however they score well above average progress scores across all areas which goes to show the tremendous work the staff do in the school. They need a driven individual to join their KS2 team and gain incremental increases in KS2 results. They are open to someone with leadership experience and have the potential to offer a TLR or a position on the SLT. This is a friendly school and one where everyone is striving to make the necessary strides forward. Extensive plans have been put in place to ensure all staff have the necessary resources and support to be the best they can. However, it must be mentioned that this can often be a challenging and demanding environment to work in, the school are often looking for those who want to make a difference and are willing to work incredibly hard. The school has lower than average EAL and SEN but higher than average free school meals.
About the role
We are looking for an innovative and inspirational teacher to teach a Yr5 class from December through to the end of the academic year at least. The school is 2 form entry, as such you will be joining an established team of teachers and teaching assistants who work closely across Key Stage 2. They adopt a team teach process which means that responsibility is shared among the team, leaning to a better work life balance. They are a tough class, so someone experienced with good behaviour management are encouraged to apply. The results across school were low last year despite the children making incredible progress. The school are doing all they can to ensure they can make the next step and align results by pushing the children that little bit more. There is plenty of support on hand and lot of incentives and encouragement for the children to ensure engagement is maintained.
As a Classroom Teacher, you will have the support of a cohesive and committed team of teachers and SLT who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations, plus:
