Geography Teacher - Uxbridge, Outer London - May 2025 Start (Maternity Cover)
Salary: Outer London MPS/UPS - Full Time or Part Time Options Available
A well-regarded secondary school in Uxbridge is seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover contract starting May 2025, with the position running until at least July 2025. The school has a 'Good' Ofsted rating and is known for its supportive and collaborative staff community.
This role is open to full-time applicants, though part-time working arrangements will be considered. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm, and on-site parking is available.
Geography Teacher - Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Geography lessons that inspire students to explore the world around them.
Promote geographical awareness through the study of physical and human environments, with a strong focus on sustainability, global issues, and critical thinking.
Encourage curiosity and independent learning by using a wide range of teaching strategies, fieldwork, and digital tools.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom culture where every student feels supported and challenged.
Actively participate in the wider school community and uphold the school's ethos of academic, social, and emotional growth.

Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Geography or a related subject
A passion for your subject and the ability to inspire young learners
Strong communication and organisational skills
A positive, collaborative, and forward-thinking attitude
