School Administrator (with Clerking Responsibilities)
Location: South West London
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time, Term-time + occasional evenings

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive School Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team at a vibrant school in South West London. This is a dual-role position that combines general school administration with clerking responsibilities for the Governing Body.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth daily running of the school office

  • Manage pupil records, attendance, correspondence, and front-of-house duties

  • Act as the Clerk to the Governing Body: preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes, advising on governance procedures and compliance

  • Maintain school policies and statutory records in line with current regulations

  • Liaise effectively with staff, parents, external agencies, and the wider school community

  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a school administration role or similar setting

  • Strong IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office and school systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor, etc.)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A good understanding of school governance and clerking duties (training can be provided)

  • A highly organised and detail-oriented individual who can manage competing priorities

  • Flexibility to attend evening Governing Body meetings as required
