Are you passionate about food, organisation, and helping young people thrive in practical learning? We are looking for a dedicated Food Technician to join our vibrant school community and support the smooth running of our food technology department.

About the Role:
As a Food Technician, you'll play a key role in preparing and maintaining resources for food technology lessons, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organised environment for both students and staff. You'll assist in practical food lessons, support student learning, and help promote a love of cooking and healthy eating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients, equipment, and resources for lessons

  • Support teachers and students during practical cooking sessions

  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the food tech room

  • Order and manage stock, check deliveries, and monitor equipment

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety/food hygiene regulations

  • Help with displays, classroom organisation, and administrative tasks

What We're Looking For:
✅ A passion for food and education
✅ Excellent organisational and time management skills
✅ Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred)
✅ Experience working in a school or kitchen setting is desirable
✅ A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
✅ An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS Certificate
