SENCO

Passionate SENCO or trainee SENCO Wanted - Join Our Team in Chesham - Chesham, Buckinghamshire - Temporary and Permanent roles - ASAP start (Can facilitate part time) or full time from ASAP or from May half term for those with a notice period.

Are you a dedicated and experienced SENCO looking for an exciting opportunity in Chesham? Do you have a passion for supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities? Our school, with its fantastic facilities and supportive SLT, is seeking an exceptional SENCO to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SEN support: Provide strategic support and direction for the schools SEND provision.
  • Assessment: Oversee the identification and assessment of students with SEND.
  • Support: Develop and implement support plans tailored to individual students.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
  • Training: Deliver training to staff on SEND-related matters.
  • Compliance: Ensure the school's SEND provision complies with statutory requirements.
  • Data Analysis: Use data to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience with SEN teaching or support.
  • Qualifications: Relevant SENCO qualifications. is an advantage but not essential for this role.
  • Knowledge: A thorough understanding of SEND legislation and best practices.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
