📅 Start Date: ASAP/ September 2025
💼 Contract Type: Full-time | Term-time only (plus INSET days)

About the Role:

You'll work closely with science teachers to support the delivery of engaging practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and effective lab operations that enhance the learning experience for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up materials and equipment for practical science lessons

  • Maintain and manage laboratory equipment, resources, and chemicals

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures (including COSHH & CLEAPSS guidelines)

  • Support staff and students during practical sessions where required

  • Organise and manage stock levels, ordering resources as necessary

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and practical demonstrations


About You:

  • Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a secondary school or college

  • Strong knowledge of lab procedures and health & safety practices

  • Highly organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team

  • Familiarity with CLEAPSS guidance and safe handling of chemicals

  • Science-related qualification (minimum Level 3 or equivalent desirable)
