Behaviour Mentor - Mainstream Secondary School, Lewisham
Location: Lewisham, London
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (until the end of the academic year)

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Lewisham is seeking a committed and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join their team immediately. This full-time, long-term position will continue until the end of the academic year, providing an excellent opportunity to support students in reaching their full potential.
Role and Responsibilities:
Support students in developing positive behaviour and attitudes to learning
Implement and monitor behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs
Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions
Assist teachers in maintaining a productive learning environment
Act as a positive role model and build strong, trusting relationships with students
Liaise with staff, parents, and external professionals to support student progress
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or similar setting
A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
A patient, resilient, and supportive approach
