Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in a vibrant mainstream primary school in Southwark, starting in September 2025. This full-time role offers the ideal opportunity for graduates looking to gain valuable school-based experience before pursuing a PGCE or a career in education.
You'll be joining a welcoming team and supporting teaching and learning across Early Years, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic chance to make a real impact on pupils' educational journeys while developing your own professional skills.
Responsibilities
Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils
Deliver targeted interventions and one-to-one support
Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation
Support pupils with varying educational and emotional needs
Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
A degree (any discipline - education-related is a bonus)
Passion for working with children in a school environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience with children (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential
A proactive, patient, and positive approach
