Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Hearing Impairments (HI)? Do you want to work in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Greenwich where your work truly makes a difference?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a small Key Stage 1 class supporting pupils with Hearing Impairments, including students who are deaf. This is a long-term role starting in September 2025, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
The Role:
Supporting a small group of KS1 pupils with Hearing Impairments (HI)
Assisting with communication, engagement, and learning within a nurturing SEN setting
Working alongside a dedicated SEN team and class teacher
Full-time position, with the option to work 4 days per week for the right candidate
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience working in primary education
At least 6 months of SEN experience, ideally supporting students with HI
Confident working in a specialist setting and using relevant communication strategies
A calm, patient, and flexible approach to supporting individual learning needs
BSL (British Sign Language) is desirable but not essential
