Textiles Teacher
Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a part time (0.8) Textiles Teacher based in Selby, starting September 2nd 2025 and lasting for the full academic year. This is a temporary position to cover a period of absence due to maternity, and as such it may be subject to a slightly earlier finish. Payment for this position will be in line with the main teaching pay scale, between £31,650 and £49084 (this may change if pay scales increase in the new academic year). This scales to a daily rate of £162.31 to £251.71. While this a four day position, there may be potential for this to increase to full time if the successful candidate is happy to teach Art alongside Textiles.
This role will involve teaching Textiles to Key Stage 3 students only. Any candidate with an Art background would also be advised to apply for this role. Full planning and marking is expected for this role, but there is a robust bank of resources available for the successful candidate, making planning requirements minimal.
Located in Selby, this is an excellent community school that is at the heart of the community. There is an onsite car park with ample parking spaces to drive. ECTs are encouraged to apply for this role as there is potential to complete 3 terms of your ECT during this position, while on a supply basis.

- Have experience working within schools in the UK.
- Has experience supporting within UK schools
- Has experience teaching Textiles to Key Stage 3
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the full CV History
- Legal right to work in the UK
