We are seeking a motivated and capable Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or experienced TA who is passionate about supporting students and raising achievement in mathematics.
The Role:
Working alongside the maths department, you will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your focus will be on helping learners to build confidence, master key mathematical concepts, and improve their problem-solving skills through both classroom support and targeted interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support in maths lessons, working with individuals and small groups
Assist in delivering high-quality interventions to boost numeracy skills
Help plan and prepare lesson materials and resources
Support students with varying levels of ability, including those with SEN or EAL needs
Encourage a positive attitude towards maths and help reduce maths anxiety
What We're Looking For:
A degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (2:2 or above)
Strong numeracy and communication skills
A positive, patient, and proactive approach to learning support
Passion for education and helping students succeed
Prior experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
