Full-Time Learning Support Assistant - SEN Settings in Thanet

Location: Thanet, Kent
Role Type: Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier for the right candidate)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with several special schools across Thanet who are currently seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Learning Support Assistants to join their classrooms full-time. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to work alongside skilled teaching staff and make a real difference in young lives.

About the Role:

  • Based in a small class group, supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism and social, emotional or mental health challenges

  • Working in partnership with a teacher and another LSA to create a positive learning environment

  • Providing targeted support to individuals or small groups

  • Assisting students across year groups in Primary or Secondary classes, depending on the school's needs

  • Helping pupils develop confidence, communication and emotional regulation skills

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people with additional needs such as SEMH or ASD is highly desirable

  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, nurturing approach

  • An ability to work as part of a team while also using your initiative

  • Someone who can build meaningful relationships with students and help them feel safe, supported and motivated
