Computer Science Teacher - September Start - Wirral
Location: Wirral
Start Date: September 2025
Job Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (Potential to go Permanent)
Daily Rate: Up to £223.62 (Depending on Experience)
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school on the Wirral, who are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025.
This is a long-term position teaching Computer Science up to Key Stage 5 (KS5), including programming modules, with the exciting potential for the role to become permanent.
Our client school is a successful community school which provides a fully comprehensive education for 11-19-year-old students achieving excellent outcomes for all their learners. Our client is an innovative school and was the first school locally to be recognised as a STE@M centre of excellence which has supported the school to build excellent links with universities and complete at a national level in STEM related competitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3 to KS5
- Teach programming and computational thinking effectively
- Monitor student progress and adapt lessons to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the Computer Science curriculum
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Specialism or strong experience in Computer Science
- Experience teaching up to A-Level (KS5) desirable
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java
- Passion for technology and education
