Schools across Daventry are actively looking for a passionate Music Teacher to join their teams from September 2025. You'll have the chance to teach engaging, practical lessons, lead ensembles or choirs, and support school performances and musical events. These schools are looking for teachers who can inspire students both in and outside the classroom and who are committed to nurturing musical talent and enjoyment in all its forms.

What the role involves:

  • Planning and delivering creative, inclusive music lessons to students in Key Stages 3, 4, and/or 5

  • Teaching instrumental or vocal skills in class and through small group or individual lessons

  • Supporting and leading extracurricular music activities such as choirs, bands, and school productions

  • Encouraging students to explore composition, performance, and music technology where applicable

  • Supporting students through exams and performances, and helping them build confidence

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across departments to integrate music into the wider school experience

Who we're looking for:

  • Qualified music teachers (QTS or equivalent) - ECTs are also welcome to apply

  • Musicians with strong practical skills and a good knowledge of music theory

  • Teachers with a passion for working with young people and promoting creativity

  • Excellent communicators who can engage students with a range of musical interests and abilities

  • Individuals who are organised, proactive, and keen to contribute to school life
