Geography Teacher - Northampton
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Permanent or Long-Term Role

We're supporting several excellent secondary schools in Northampton looking to appoint dedicated Geography Teachers from September 2025. This full-time position offers the chance to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to post-16 teaching if you have the relevant experience.

Role Overview:

  • Plan and deliver stimulating Geography lessons that engage students with physical and human geography topics

  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources, including practical activities, fieldwork, and technology to enhance learning

  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing tailored support to meet diverse learning needs

  • Collaborate with the department to develop the curriculum and share best practices to improve outcomes

  • Support extra-curricular activities such as field trips, clubs, or geography-related events

  • Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, respect, and active participation

  • Work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure students receive the support they need to thrive

Who We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; candidates without QTS but with strong subject knowledge and relevant experience are encouraged to apply

  • A genuine enthusiasm for Geography and the ability to inspire learners at all levels

  • Strong classroom management skills to create a focused and respectful learning atmosphere

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families

  • A commitment to professional growth and working collaboratively within a team

  • Experience teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 is preferred; post-16 experience is a plus
