Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistants - ARPs & SRPs
Location: Hillingdon, West London

Salary: Competitive PAYE Rates - Weekly Pay

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting Special Needs Teaching Assistants (SEND TAs) to support Additional Resource Provisions (ARPs) and Specialist Resource Provisions (SRPs) based within mainstream primary and secondary schools across the London Borough of Hillingdon. These flexible roles are available from September 2025 and suit individuals seeking either long-term or day-to-day supply opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate and committed professionals looking to make a meaningful impact on pupils with a variety of special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD, global developmental delay, and SEMH needs

  • Assisting teachers in delivering individual learning plans and differentiated activities

  • Providing targeted 1:1 or small group support, both in and out of the classroom

  • Promoting pupil engagement, independence and emotional wellbeing

  • Working as part of a wider team, including SENCOs, therapists and pastoral staff

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, either in schools or alternative settings

  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices (training provided)

  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support are beneficial but not essential
