SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Oldham

📍 Location: Oldham
📅 Start Date: Immediate
💷 Pay: £90-£100 per day (depending on experience)
🕘 Contract: Full-time, with the potential for a permanent role

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-respected mainstream primary school in Oldham.


The Role:

  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 with a range of special educational needs

  • Delivering targeted interventions in small groups or on a 1:1 basis

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to track progress and adapt learning

  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all learners

  • £90-£100 per day, depending on experience

  • Full training and ongoing support provided

  • Opportunity for a permanent contract based on performance

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, etc.)

  • Experience delivering small-group or 1:1 interventions

  • SEN experience is highly desirable (e.g., autism, speech & language, SEMH)

  • Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a proactive attitude

  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young learners
