Behaviour Mentor | Secondary SEMH School | Enfield
Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs? Do you have experience as a Behaviour Mentor or are you a skilled Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your career?
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors to work in exceptional secondary SEMH schools across Enfield. These schools are committed to providing outstanding support for vulnerable young people and maintain the highest professional standards. We have full-time, long-term positions available from September 2025, with excellent opportunities for permanent placements.
In this rewarding role as a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to secondary students with complex SEMH needs
- Develop and implement personalised behaviour intervention strategies
- Foster positive relationships that promote student wellbeing and academic progress
- Manage challenging behaviours through effective de-escalation techniques
- Work closely with teaching staff, families, and external support services
- Track and document student development and behavioural improvements
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Demonstrable experience supporting secondary-age students with SEMH challenges
- Current Enhanced DBS check, overseas police clearances (where applicable) and satisfactory references
- A comprehensive employment history covering the previous 10 years
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
