SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Flexible supply (part-time and full-time options available)
Pay Rate: £90 - £95 per day, dependent on experience
Year Groups: Nursery to Year 6
Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to support a variety of primary schools in Havering. These supply roles are available on both a daily and long-term basis, with opportunities to work across different year groups, supporting pupils with special educational needs, particularly Autism.

Candidate Requirements:
Prior experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, ideally in a primary school environment.
Confidence providing 1:1 and small group support, with phonics or SATS intervention experience desirable.
Ability to develop positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support.
Good classroom management and communication skills.
Knowledge of child development and familiarity with IEP and EHCP processes.
Essential Compliance:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Legal right to work in the UK.
Full CV covering all employment and education history since leaving school.
Two professional references from within the last two years.
Overseas police clearance if applicable.
